SanMar Opens New Minneapolis Warehouse

Seventh Warehouse in Distribution Network Designed to Better Serve the Upper Midwest

Seattle, WA – May 7, 2012 – SanMar Corporation, a leading industry supplier of apparel and accessories, today announces the opening of its Minneapolis warehouse. Taking a new two-step approach, SanMar is opening a temporary facility now to more quickly serve its customer needs while waiting for construction to be completed on a full-scale warehouse, opening summer 2013. 

“It was a priority for us to serve this region as quickly as possible while creating the fully-stocked warehouse our customers expect from SanMar,” said Jeremy Lott, vice president at SanMar. “We’re excited about this opportunity to better serve our customers both in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and throughout the upper Midwest.” 

The current Minneapolis warehouse will carry SanMar’s most popular styles, in a variety of sizes and colors. The 100,000 square foot facility offers same-day shipping with a 5:00pm cutoff and 1-2 day delivery to Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. Meanwhile, construction is underway on a 570,000 square foot warehouse that will be stocked with an extensive selection of apparel and accessories later next year. 

Located in the Twin Cities suburb of Shakopee, Minnesota, the warehouse features easy access to major interstates. The location also features a showroom and will call hours from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday through Friday for customers interested in picking up orders onsite.
